Gramme of 17 grans from Oregon to Kentucky. I do a little painting, some hiking and camping, mostly family stuff. My mornings begin with a devotional of music and reading of scripture. Currently I'm reading with a focus of noting all things Jesus--what he did, key principles he taught, . . . . Most mornings I alternate between daily Pilates and walking a few miles. My days are flexible to include various interests and spontaneous opportunities. The fiction I read, though not planned, is typically of women of various cultures and periods of time. Wallace Stegner is my favorite author. There just are not many current authors that write as well. Crosswords are a daily lunchtime accompaniment. I'm a volunteer gallery interpreter at the Natural History Museum of Utah. I've been living in the Mountain West, but grew up in a Los Angeles suburb, attended UCLA, USC and graduated from Brigham Young University. Opted for a two year LDS mission in Brazil before teaching high school home economics for a couple of years. Then focused on raising six children. We lived in Utah, Kansas, Montana and England and Scotland. I know more than a little of loss, cancer and living alone. My biggest surprise--realizing after all my children were on their own -- I had been a single parent. That category never occurred to me nor my children. We were a family. Correction: My mornings really begin connecting with Our Loving Father in Heaven. That's where I first find my balance for the day.
